When you use FindFriends, we may collect the following types of information:
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Data: Name, email address, date of birth, gender, profile photo, and bio
- Profile Information: Interests, location, and other optional details you choose to share
- Content: Posts, comments, messages, stories, photos, videos, and other media you upload
- Verification Data: Face verification photos (processed locally, not stored on servers)
- Communications: Support requests, feedback, and bug reports you submit
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and unique device identifiers
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns
- Log Data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs
- Location Data: Approximate location based on IP address (precise location only with your explicit consent)
1.3 Third-Party Information
If you sign in via Google, Facebook, Discord, or other third-party providers, we receive basic profile information as authorized by you during the OAuth process.

- Provide, maintain, and improve the FindFriends Service
- Personalize your experience and deliver relevant content
- Enable social features like friend suggestions and group recommendations
- Process and deliver messages, notifications, and calls
- Verify user identity and enforce community guidelines

3. Data Storage & Retention
Your information is stored securely using industry-standard encryption via our database infrastructure (Cloudflare D1), local device storage (IndexedDB), and server logs.
🗄️ Retention Policy
Personal information is retained only as long as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law. When you delete your account, your data is scheduled for permanent deletion within 30 days.

4. Messages & Communications
FindFriends does not permanently retain the content of your private messages after successful delivery to the recipient.
- Messages are delivered in real-time via WebSocket connections
- If immediate delivery fails, messages are encrypted and temporarily stored for up to 30 days
- Public content (posts, profile information, stories) is retained until you delete it or your account
- Call metadata (duration, participants) may be logged, but call content is never recorded
5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Trusted partners who help operate the Service (hosting, CDN, analytics) under strict confidentiality agreements
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or government request
- Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of FindFriends, our users, or the public
- With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing with third parties
🔗 Third-Party Sign-In
If you link accounts (Google, Facebook, Discord), their privacy policies govern their use of your data. We only receive information you authorize during sign-in.
6. International Data Transfers
As a global platform, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your home country. We ensure all transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including implementing appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.
7. Your Rights & Controls
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- 📥 Download: Export all your data via Settings → Security → Download My Data
- ✏️ Edit: Update your profile, settings, and preferences at any time
- 🗑️ Delete: Delete your account and all associated data via Settings
- 🔕 Opt-Out: Control notifications, visibility, and data sharing preferences
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Encrypted database storage (Cloudflare D1)
- Secure authentication with token-based sessions
- Regular security audits and monitoring
- Face verification processed locally on-device (biometric data not stored on servers)
While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
FindFriends does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Users aged 13-18 require parental consent.
10. Cookies & Local Storage
FF uses local storage (localStorage, IndexedDB) to store session tokens, user preferences, cached data for offline access, and theme settings. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
